TAMPA, Fla. — Stevens Construction has completed an interior renovation of the entire fifth floor at the Florida Hospital Carrollwood, announced Mark Stevens, company president.
Located in Tampa, Fla., the 17,579-square-foot project included interior demolition and construction of a new post-surgery unit on the hospital’s top floor. The new department consists of 25 private patient rooms, nurse stations and rehabilitation areas. The project occurred while the hospital remained in operation, requiring the utmost coordination with the hospital staff to ensure patient care and safety were never compromised.
The Stevens Construction team includes Alex Hunt-Branch as project manager and Sue Ziegenfus as project administrator. Burt Hill/Pollock Krieg Architects provided the design.
The project was licensed and inspected by the Agency for Healthcare Administration, which ensures regulatory compliance for healthcare facilities throughout Florida.
