Brasfield & Gorrie Completes Construction on The Medical Center of Peach County
BYRON, Ga. — Brasfield & Gorrie has completed construction on The Medical Center of Peach County in Georgia. The hospital has begun seeing patients at its new location in Byron. The 70,000-square-foot, 25-bed critical access hospital replaces the former facility and offers upgraded healthcare options to the community.
The facility, constructed in a design-build process between Brasfield & Gorrie and Hinson Miller Kickirillo, includes an emergency department, imaging services, surgery space, a pharmacy, respiratory therapy and physical therapy rooms, administrative offices, dining facilities and a new central energy plant.
The product of a partnership with The Medical Center of Central Georgia, the long-awaited facility was started in June 2012.
“Being part of the team that brought this facility to reality was important to us,” said Tate McKee, vice president and division manager of Brasfield & Gorrie. “We understand the tremendous impact it will have on Peach County and the surrounding communities.”
