SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Beginning in October, Baptist Health System is opening four new Baptist Emergency Hospital facilities in the San Antonio area to bring compassionate care closer to families in the Alamo City area.
The newest hospital opens in northwest San Antonio on Monday, October 29, 2012. Along with the first emergency hospital, this facility will now allow residents of the northwest side to access emergency medical care in a location close to home.Baptist Emergency Hospital offers emergency medical and inpatient care that is “patient-centric” in its innovative approach. From the moment the patient enters the facility, the experienced medical staff, systems and technology are ready to meet the patients’ needs in a way that is convenient, accessible, efficient and compassionate.
Baptist Emergency Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is staffed with physicians, nurses and other experienced clinical staff. The emergency rooms are equipped with on-site imaging services including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound, as well as in-house laboratories. Each new Baptist Emergency Hospital facility will range in square footage from 20,000 to 40,000 square feet. IN total, the five Baptist Emergency Hospital facilities will create approximately 200 new jobs in the San Antonio area.
