It includes a 4,055 square foot addition that will house 16 new acute care treatment areas, increasing the number of private treatment bays to 54. The project adds 46 bed; 30 beds dedicated for observation patients and 16 medical surgical beds. In addition, the plan reconfigures several multi-patient rooms into semi-privates rooms to improve the patient experience.

    * At Providence Park Hospital, $3 million will be invested to purchase a new open MRI, which will be the second open MRI in the system. The new equipment will provide improved convenience, access and timeliness for patients.

    * The purchase of a mobile PET Scanner at a cost of $2.1 million (SJPHS currently leases a PET Scanner).

    * A new $2 million outpatient facility in Harrison Township, which will include the outpatient physical rehabilitation services program being relocated from North Shores, lab services, physician offices and urgent care services. The new location at Metro Parkway and Crocker will open in April. The recently-opened Cracchiolo Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Center at St. John Hospital and Medical Center at a cost of $3 million.
