SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Shawn A. Janus has joined Pacific Medical Buildings as senior vice president for healthcare development and acquisitions.
A resident of Chicago, Illinois, Janus has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. His expertise is specific to healthcare real estate development, acquisition and capital market activities.
Prior to joining PMB, Janus was managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle and one of the senior leaders in the firm’s Healthcare Specialty Practice. At JLL he was responsible for building the firm’s healthcare development practice. He also focused on development advisory services and principal-based development. Janus’ career has also included positions as executive vice president of Lillibridge Healthcare Real Estate Trust, overseeing all acquisition and development activities. During his seven-year career with Lillibridge, he acquired over $800-million of property totaling in excess of 4.2 million square feet and participated in the development of more than 25 healthcare projects with a total cost in excess of $350 million. Prior to his career at Lillibridge, Janus held senior positions at Wm. Krug Inc., Continental Bank’s investment banking group, Lincoln Property Co. and Trammell Crow Co.
Janus earned his Master of Business Administration in finance and marketing from Northwestern University, and his Bachelor of Science in accountancy from the University of Illinois. He sits on the Healthcare & Life Sciences Council of the Urban Land Institute and is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association and the Chicago Real Estate Council.
