Minneapolis, MN – Alanna Carter, Associate AIA, LEED-AP is promoted to Associate Principal at healthcare architecture and engineering design firm Horty Elving. In her new role, Carter leads inter-disciplinary design teams, specializing in healthcare design, bringing her passion for designing dignified environments for elders.
Carter is the founder and current president of SAGE-MN. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Architecture, and minors in construction management and interior design. Carter has recently presented at Environments for Aging Conference (2010), Aging Services of Minnesota Annual Institute (2009 and 201), and Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo (2009 and 2010). Projects in Warroad, Minnesota and Green Bay, Wisconsin were recently published in DESIGN: Environments for Aging and Behavioral Healthcare. She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota’s College of Design.
