HOK Vice President Ian Sinnett Receives ACHA Board Certification
DALLAS, Texas — The American College of Healthcare Architects has announced that Ian C. Sinnett, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, vice president/regional leader of healthcare for HOK, has earned his Board Certificate in healthcare architecture. Sinnett recently passed an accreditation examination, which assesses the knowledge and understanding of architects who practice as healthcare specialists. He joins the ranks of more than 400 ACHA colleagues in the U.S. and Canada who have received this significant architectural credential.
ACHA requires its certificate holders to work toward the improvement of healthcare architecture on behalf of the public, to practice in an ethical manner and to maintain the highest standards in the specialized field of healthcare architecture.
Sinnett joined HOK in May 2014 and oversees business development for the firm’s healthcare practice in the Gulf Coast region, from Texas to Florida.
Sinnett is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the U.S. Green Building Council. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University and has completed additional training in Lean healthcare for operational improvement.
HOK’s healthcare projects in the Gulf Coast region include HCA Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Lee County VA Healthcare Center in Cape Coral, Florida, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and Harris Health System Smith Clinic in Houston.
