LA PALMA, Calif. — The Innovation Institute announced three leaders in healthcare design and construction as recipients of its first annual Transformation Through Innovation Award. They are Jim Maslowski and Bill Maslowski, co-founders of PDC Facilities, Inc. and Scot Berlinski, president of Healthcare Design & Construction, LLC.
“We are very pleased to recognize these like-minded professionals who have embraced The Innovation Institute’s business model,” said Joe Randolph, president and CEO, The Innovation Institute. “Through this great long-term relationship with Jim and Bill Maslowski and PDC Facilities, we were given the opportunity to add HDC, under the leadership of Scot Berlinski as president, to our family of healthcare service companies.” Prior to the acquisition, Scot Berlinski was part of the PDC Facilities team for more than 20 years.
“These are exciting and changing times in healthcare, and with HDC’s focus in acute care and outpatient medical diagnostic construction, we determined that sustainable growth potential exists through full alignment and integration with The Innovation Institute,” said Berlinski.
“We are honored to receive this award, and we are happy to be a part of the success of The Innovation Institute,” said Jim Maslowski.
The Transformation Through Innovation Award will be presented each year to a healthcare service company within The Innovation Institute’s Enterprise Development Group that demonstrates a progressive approach to developing strategic partnerships that have contributed to transforming healthcare through innovation. HDC is one of three EDG service companies. The other two are Petra Integrated Construction Strategies and Tech Knowledge Associates, a clinical engineering services company. Plans are to grow the EDG by three to five companies per year, depending on the demand for specific healthcare service areas.
