Sean Twomey has joined Leopardo Construction as vice president of healthcare, bringing more than two decades of experience in design, construction and program leadership to the company’s growing healthcare team.
Twomey previously held leadership roles with Clayco, NewGround, Drury Development Corporation and HOK, where he managed complex projects across healthcare, civic and hospitality markets nationwide. His experience spans every stage of project delivery — from design and preconstruction through execution. He is a licensed architect and DBIA-certified professional.
In his new role, he will oversee the UChicago Medicine clinical laboratory project in Washington Park, part of the organization’s multi-site expansion. The lab project will consolidate essential clinical functions, create healthcare career pathways in partnership with the City Colleges of Chicago and advance critical research initiatives. It is expected to be completed in 2027.
