A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of Tenet Healthcare’s $120-million Florida Coast Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The 185,000-square-foot, 54-bed acute care hospital offers specialized services, including 24-hour emergency care, neurosciences, orthopedics, spine, robotics, general surgery, urology, advanced cardiac care and diagnostic services.
The hospital, an affiliate of the Palm Beach Health Network, is part of a 26.5-acre campus that will include three planned buildings.
The hospital’s design takes inspiration from its coastal setting. Neutral colors, such as soft greens and blues paired with warm-toned flooring create a serene backdrop for healing. A curved main lobby reminiscent of the nearby shoreline anchors the experience of the building. Two stories of glass flood the space with natural light, creating an uplifting atmosphere. Robins & Morton served as the general contractor for the project. ESa was the architect.
