Tim Hurvitz, AIA, LEED AP, has joined HMC Architects as healthcare principal in charge. With more than two decades of experience designing, building and renovating healthcare facilities across California, Hurvitz brings deep expertise in creating environments that support patients during life’s most challenging moments. In his new role, he will lead projects from concept through completion, collaborating closely with clients, caregivers and project teams to deliver innovative, and efficient healing spaces.
Hurvitz’s portfolio spans complex inpatient renovations, outpatient facilities and large-scale master plans, with specialized expertise in Lean design and HCAI/OSHPD projects. He has led multinational teams, presented at industry conferences and excels at guiding projects through all phases of design and construction.
Known for his collaborative approach, he thrives on learning from caregivers, seeking innovations that improve efficiency and elevate the patient experience. His work is rooted in empathy and the profound responsibility of designing spaces that heal.
