Middlesex Hospital, in partnership with Clearway Health, celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of Middlesex Hospital Specialty Pharmacy, its first retail and specialty pharmacy.
Together, Middlesex Hospital and Clearway Health operate the specialty pharmacy and provide surrounding services to ensure patients throughout Middlesex County and along the Connecticut shoreline are connected to vital specialty medications. Middlesex Hospital offers inpatient pharmacy services to those staying at the hospital in Middletown. The new specialty pharmacy offers pharmacy services for patients not staying at the hospital and provides an additional retail pharmacy service for Middlesex patients displaced by recent retail pharmacy closures in the area.
Comprehensive patient-centered care will be provided including specialized medication education and clinical support, medication adherence support, refill reminders, affordable prescriptions with prior authorization, co-pay assistance support and home delivery services.
