The state of North Carolina has approved Cone Health’s certificate of need application for a 46-bed hospital in Mebane.
The $250-million Cone Health Mebane Hospital adjacent to Cone Health MedCenter Mebane. The 161,578-square-foot facility will bring care closer to home, helping residents avoid long trips for hospital services. The hospital is slated to open in April 2029.
Cone Health Mebane Hospital will include:
- 46 acute care beds
- 15 emergency department bays
- 3 general operating rooms
- 1 C-section operating room
- 2 procedure rooms
- 3 obstetric labor, delivery, recovery beds
- 7 observation beds
- Imaging, ancillary and support services
