The Center for Health Design has opened submissions for its 2026 Healthcare Environment Awards. The deadline to submit is Sept. 24.
Since 1989 the Healthcare Environment Awards have recognized nearly 300 healthcare design projects – built and conceptual – that demonstrate not only what great design looks like, but the hard work it takes to create it and what it can achieve.
Projects are evaluated not just on visual aesthetic, but on the effective use of:
- Strategic and innovative design concepts
- Collaborative team processes
- Evidence-informed decision-making
to improve the quality of healthcare, and specifically health, safety, wellness, patient experience, organizational and other key outcomes, in a wide range of healthcare settings.
