The American Society of Plumbing Engineers has released the 2025 ASPE Tech Symposium Technical Education Program, which features 40 sessions designed for plumbing industry professionals at all career levels. Each 90-minute session offers .15 continuing education units, providing an opportunity to earn up to 1.2 CEUs that can be used for license and certification continuing education requirements.
The education program is presented in five tracks: codes & standards/water quality, system design, sustainability/construction discussion, healthcare/specialty design and fire protection & more. The symposium will be held Sept. 24–28 in Orlando, Florida.
Highlights include the following:
- Medical gas experts Mark Allen, Mathis Carlson and Jonathan Willard, LEED AP, will answer the question “Why won’t medical gas design stand still?” in an audience-driven roundtable discussion
- IAPMO’s vice president of technical services and research, Christoph Lohr, P.E., CPD, LEED AP, will help navigate the new wave in the ocean of water quality and liability in his interactive presentation
- Legionella control specialist Chris Nancrede, EIT, ASSE 12080, will offer tips for reducing the risk of legionella and Legionnaires’ disease during building construction.
