Abrazo Central Campus in Phoenix, Arizona welcomed students from nearby Maryland School, and their artwork, to its community gallery on the first floor of the hospital. The gallery opened last year and displays student art on a rotating basis in collaboration with Glendale Union High School District.
The Maryland School student artists recently viewed their artwork on campus with other students, family members teachers and Abrazo Central Campus hospital officials.
Sifa Ujiga, a seventh-grade student artist, drew a green clover representing her growth throughout recent years in her life.
“The dark parts of the clover are from younger years when I had tougher times, the sticks are obstacles I had to overcome and the lighter part of the flower are when I reached my goals,” Ujiga explained.
