Baton Rouge General announced plans to open a neighborhood hospital in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Plans for the 40,000-square-foot facility include a 14-bed emergency room and 12-bed inpatient hospital, outpatient services like imaging and lab, as well as physician practices.
Plans for the hospital began two years ago, and the land was purchased last year. The project is now in the design phase. Once approved by the Livingston Parish Planning Commission, groundbreaking is tentatively planned for early 2025 and opening planned for 2027.
Livingston Parish leads both the state and the metro Baton Rouge area in population growth, with a 6% growth since 2020. For more details, visit brgeneral.org.
