The New York Chapter of Professional Women in Construction is honoring professionals at the highest levels of the AEC industry with its Salute to Women of Achievement. Honorees are selected for impressive career accomplishments and recognized for their commitment to lead and mentor. Among this year’s honorees is Rachel Birnboim, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Assoc. DBIA, co-managing principal of Perkins Eastman.
Birnboim primarily focuses on healthcare architecture. She is also an active project manager, is intimately involved in the lifespans of projects and relishes the process, details and intricacies that the job entails. She believes collaboration and understanding others’ perspectives and needs are the keys to success. She has 24 years of dedicated professional experience.
The annual Salute to Women of Achievement will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18. The dinner will take place in NYC at The View at Battery Park.
“Shining the spotlight on the successful careers of the honorees is one of the best ways to show women there is a place in the AEC industry for them,” says Gina Rivera, executive director of Professional Women in Construction New York. “Bringing women together to learn and grow from each other is a main focus of PWC.”
