Nsenga Bansfield-Maathey has joined Array Architects as director of healthcare planning in the firm’s New York City studio. Bansfield-Maathey brings to the role over 25 years of experience leading planning on complex healthcare designs and major projects. She will serve a growing client base and be responsible for regional leadership and advancing planning services in coordination with the firm’s area leader of planning and northeast regional vice president.
Beyond her track record of healthcare planning excellence, Bansfield-Maathey also serves as an industry leader promoting health equity in healthcare architecture and design. Her thought leadership on addressing racial disparities in healthcare has been widely published.
A graduate of Cornell University, Bansfield-Maathey has seized mentorship opportunities in her field through higher education, volunteering as a student advisor and serving as a career discussion panelist.
