    USGBC Data Reveals Top States for LEED-Certified Healthcare Facilities

    The U.S. Green Building Council has reported its latest data on healthcare facilities that received LEED certification over the past year. Overall, a total of 52 healthcare projects were LEED certified in 2023, covering 8.1 million gross square feet. Projects included clinics, diagnostic and other outpatient facilities, along with inpatient healthcare facilities. To learn more, visit usgbc.org.

    New York had the most LEED-certified healthcare projects, with eight certifications, covering a total of roughly 1.2 million gross square feet. The top states with the most LEED-certified healthcare facilities in 2023 were:
