Swinerton Expands Healthcare Team to Address Growing Southeast Region Demand
Swinerton has added two executives to its Southeast regional healthcare team in response to the increase in demand for construction and renovation of medical facilities. Based on the FMI analytics, healthcare construction spending is expected to top $3 billion in Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina ($2.2 billion and $1 billion, respectively) from 2024 to 2026.
Carly Morris has been named senior project manager, healthcare market lead, in the company’s Charlotte office and Rashad Morton is now project executive in the company’s Atlanta office.
Morris oversees every aspect of a healthcare project from client relations and preconstruction through project close-out and facility occupancy. During her decade-long career, she has been involved with constructing, renovating and expanding nearly 1.2 million square feet of healthcare and medical builds.
Morton is tasked with capturing market share in healthcare by forging new relationships within the industry, generating brand awareness for Swinerton’s Atlanta division. He joined Swinerton in 2017 as senior project manager in Los Angeles, California and recently relocated to Atlanta. Prior to Swinerton, he served in various roles during a 13-year tenure at McCarthy Building Companies. Morton has been involved with approximately 1 million square feet of healthcare projects.
