HKS is expanding its Raleigh, North Carolina health practice through the stewardship of two health design leaders: Kerry Bennett , AIA, LEED AP, LSSYB and Jerry Merritt, LEED AP BD+C. As the Raleigh-Durham area sees growth, these latest additions will build on a long history of serving clients locally, with global health design expertise.
Bennett, a principal and senior project architect, has spent 18 years in the firm’s Richmond, Virginia office, with the last few years in the Raleigh area, continuing her work with area health institutions. Her move has enabled her to serve longtime clients locally, while becoming ingrained into the Raleigh-Durham community and strengthening her ability to design a sense of place on both micro and macro scales for patients, families and providers.
Merritt has been hired as a vice president and health practice leader for the Raleigh office. While he is new to HKS, he is a longtime citizen of Raleigh-Durham, having worked in healthcare design locally for more than 17 years.
