Burns & McDonnell is expanding its healthcare team with the addition of four industry veterans, poised to lead and support hospital and healthcare system projects across the U.S.: Jennifer Bahan, Steve Berko, Eric Perry and Todd Wicker.
With nearly three decades of interior design experience, Bahan leads healthcare interior design at the firm. Throughout her career, she’s supported a wide range of healthcare, commercial and hospitality projects and specified millions of dollars in furniture, fixtures and equipment.
She has a deep understanding of design for replacement hospitals, critical access hospitals, cancer care facilities and medical office buildings for both the private and public sectors.
Berko has more than 40 years of healthcare design and construction experience. Throughout his career, he’s successfully completed academic medical, rural healthcare system and for-profit and nonprofit healthcare provider projects.
He has deep knowledge of predesign phase services, master planning, conceptual budgeting, systems-based engineering, procurement and construction, including integrated and Design-Build project delivery methods.
With 15 years of design and Lean construction experience, Perry is a senior electrical engineer focused on leading and supporting healthcare projects nationwide. Throughout his career, he’s designed medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution, lighting and fire alarm systems for healthcare, higher education, K-12 education, industrial and government clients.
He specializes in designing for acute care hospitals and support spaces, as well as MOBs.
With two decades of experience, Wicker is a senior mechanical engineer supporting healthcare projects across the country. Wicker has designed a wide range of systems for healthcare, industrial and commercial facilities throughout his career, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, process piping, laboratory, pharmaceutical, compressed air, chilled water, steam and medical gas.
