    Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Set to Open

    The new 12-story Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, located in Daytona Beach, is set to open on July 14.  The $270 million,  718,000-square-foot hospital is on 135 acres and will have 277 beds with a capacity for 350 beds.  The new hospital will double the size of the existing Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial.


    The existing 205-bed Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial, located on Sterthaus Avenue, will close July 14.  The current 330,000-square-foot facility, located on 13 acres, is for sale.

    The architect is HuntonBrady, and the contractor is Robins & Morton.
