ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — The Innovation Institute announced the launch of Healthcare Design & Construction, LLC, a design-build firm offering competitive construction, architectural engineering and planning services to the national healthcare market.
HDC was formed through the acquisition of PDC West, a construction firm based in Orange County, Calif., which has over 25 years of healthcare construction experience, including acute care and outpatient medical diagnostic construction. PDC West was a subsidiary firm of PDC Facilities, Inc., based in Hartland, Wis.
“HDC brings its expertise in single-source design and construction services to the institute’s family of companies,” said Joe Randolph, president & CEO of The Innovation Institute. “Together with Petra Integrated Construction Strategies, our strategic construction management firm and Tech Knowledge Associates, our clinical engineering services company, we can focus on all aspects of healthcare design and construction to create optimal work and healthcare environments, increasing our value to clients and member systems,” added Randolph.
The HDC leadership team consists of Scot Berlinski, president; Mike Hernandez, senior project director; Joseph De Luca Sr., project director and Jim Clifford, senior project manager.
