Allan Dedman Rogers-OBrienRogers-O’Brien, a Texas general contractor, has hired Allan Dedman as vice president. He most recently ran the Dallas office and the Texas/Louisiana regional healthcare practice for a national contractor.

With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare construction, Dedman has managed projects ranging from clinic buildouts to $200-million, multi-component medical campuses for such clients as Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, CHRISTUS, HCA and Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Dedman will foster relationships with healthcare providers and support Rogers-O’Brien’s successful delivery of healthcare projects. He joins other leaders of the firm’s Healthcare Group — Vice President Cisco Hobbs, based in Central Texas and Senior Vice President John Carver, FACHE — in promoting the firm’s healthcare construction business.

Carver commented, “Healthcare executives and construction professionals throughout Texas and contiguous states have great respect for Allan. His deep roots will help us take healthcare to the next level.” Hobbs added, “Allan has been a construction colleague for several years. The way he approaches client relationships, and how he relates to construction staff and subcontractors, meshes perfectly with the Rogers-O’Brien culture.”

Dedman attained his Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from Auburn University. An active member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering of the American Hospital Association, he is a strong advocate for quality healthcare environments.
