CHICAGO, Ill. — A new and updated Radiation Oncology Center is under design at Advocate Condell Medical Center with Matthei & Colin Associates as the healthcare design firm. They are reconfiguring the center to add 2,500 square feet of new space and will renovate about 4,200 square feet of existing space in the facility located on the main campus in Libertyville, Ill.
Implementation is phased for continuous non-stop patient delivery and without interruption to scheduled care. The new variable energy linear accelerator will enhance the exam and consultation facilities.
The center is being designed to support cutting-edge digital treatment planning and simulation systems. The project includes new HVAC, power supply and lighting to provide planned energy savings and upgrades to the existing building.
