ASHE Registration Opens for 50th Annual Conference

CHICAGO, Ill. – The American Society for Healthcare Engineering has opened registration for its 50th Annual Conference & Technical Exhibition.

For 50 years, hospital facility managers and others dedicated to improving the healthcare physical environment have turned to the ASHE Annual Conference as a trusted source of education and networking. This year’s conference, being held July 21-24 in Atlanta, Ga., features more than 40 peer-reviewed sessions.

These sessions include:

  • Keynote speaker, Jim Lussier, founder and president of The Lussier Center/TLC, will present Evolution of the Facility Manager: Boiler Room to Board Room.
  • Joe Flower, healthcare futurist and author, will present Technology and Health Care Beyond Reform.
  • David Fox, president of Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, will present Moving from Good to Great.
  • Representatives from the Joint Commission, DNV Healthcare Inc. and the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program are scheduled to speak.

Education sessions will cover topics such as compliance strategies; planning, design, and construction for the facility manager; delivering value; operational excellence and fundamentals.

In addition to practical educational offerings, ASHE has also planned an outing to Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park to celebrate 50 years of annual conferences. This event, like other receptions and networking opportunities at the conference, is a way to meet and make useful connections with others involved in healthcare facilities.

Early-bird registration rates are available until June 20. More information — including online registration forms, the conference schedule, and a justification toolkit that can be used to gain approval to attend the conference — is available at www.asheannual.org.
