RALEIGH, N.C. — BJAC and EYP Architecture & Engineering have partnered to expand both firms’ geographic reach, as well as broaden the expertise available to North Carolina clients. With offices in Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C., BJAC provides design to healthcare, education and research clients. EYP is an integrated architecture and engineering firm that specializes in sustainable design for higher education, government and corporate clients. The combined firm will operate out of BJAC’s Raleigh and Charlotte offices.

The new partnership, called EYP/BJAC, will combine BJAC’s healthcare and medical education design portfolio with EYP’s strength in biomedical research and science and technology to create a comprehensive healthcare offering. Additionally, it will allow each firm to share and enhance services and specialized knowledge, while the partnership expands into new geographic regions.

EYP’s deep commitment to a knowledge-based practice, leveraging research, specialized expertise and design excellence to advance the mission and vision of its clients, will become an integral service for BJAC’s clients. The new partnership, which marks EYP’s commitment to growth in North Carolina, will be led by BJAC Founding Partner Lou Jurkowski, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, and EYP President and CEO Tom Birdsey, AIA, LEED AP.

“We wanted to form a strategic partnership that looked to the future, with a respected peer that would maintain BJAC’s core values of strong client relationships, knowledge-based design and an employee-centric organization. EYP is the perfect match,” said Jurkowski. “In an industry where expertise and reputation for quality are critical, EYP has a long and distinguished track record. Best of all, our two firms are ideally matched in terms of cultures, markets and geographies, and we share the same long-term vision for the future.”
