    James May Joins Perkins+Will as Managing Principal, Healthcare Practice

    JamesMay Color RNEW YORK, N.Y. — James May, AIA, LEED AP, has joined Perkins+Will as managing principal of the New York office of the firm’s Healthcare Practice.

    With more than 20 years of experience, May is widely recognized as a key player in the New York healthcare market. Prior to joining Perkins+Will, he served as director of healthcare at Francis Cauffman, where he provided design leadership and management.

    He will be a critical member of the healthcare practice, which aims to create thoughtful environments that embody the mission, values and culture of the client. Additionally, May will collaborate closely with Robin Guenther, a global leader in sustainability for healthcare design. The New York office of Perkins+Will has worked with many distinguished healthcare clients and most recently opened The Johns Hopkins Hospital Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center and Sheikh Zayed Tower as well as the New York University Langone Medical Center for Musculoskeletal Care, in addition to past work with such clients as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Columbia University Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center.
