SmithGroupJJR Health Studio Leader Promoted to VP

Craig Passey, AIA, ACHA, has been promoted to SmithGroupJJR vice president, retaining his role of Health Studio leader at the firm’s Phoenix, Arizona office.

Passey has 23 years of experience in architectural planning and design and is recognized for his expertise in ambulatory care and acute care facilities. In his role, he oversees the growing studio and its project delivery and business development efforts throughout the Intermountain region, while continuing to engage with local clients such as Banner Health and Mountain Park Health Center.

Among his clients are Banner Health, Mountain Park Health Center, Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Passey served as principal-in-charge for the award-winning, newly completed Mountain Park Health Center Tempe Clinic, as well as Banner Health’s newest and largest specialty outpatient center—the new, $100-million University Medical Center-Tucson North Campus Outpatient Center.
