Healthcare design expert Laurie McCoy has joined CannonDesign as a principal and the leader of its Los Angeles, California office. She has 33 years of experience practicing design in Southern California, most recently with NBBJ where she led the firm’s Los Angeles health market. Throughout her career, she has led the design and construction of future-focused facilities.
“Laurie brings a level of energy and excitement that matches the dynamism Southern California is known for,” said Robin Cibrano, executive director at CannonDesign. “She has a rare understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in the marketplace and a track record helping clients imagine and realize new futures. Most importantly, she genuinely cares about people, and is going to be an excellent mentor to our employees in Los Angeles.”
In addition to leading the Los Angeles office, she will be responsible for leading healthcare projects throughout the region. Her understanding of the future landscape of health delivery coupled with her experience working on nearly every healthcare building type makes her an integral addition.
She is a board member of Loma Linda University’s Children’s Hospital Foundation and the past chair of the board of directors for the Children’s Fund.
