InMed Group recently held a grand opening ceremony for Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton, Georgia. The project team included Hoar Construction and CDH Partners.
The 67,000-square-foot critical access community hospital replaces an outdated facility built in the 1970s. The facility includes 25 inpatient beds, outpatient services, an emergency department, dietary, operating rooms, pharmacy, lab, physical therapy and radiology departments.
From the breezeway protruding through the building to the “club level” (section for administrative suites), every feature of the facility adds a human touch transcending clinical space. Located on top of a mountain, patients can enjoy the views of north Georgia and the city of Clayton from their rooms. The hospital serves Rabun County and communities throughout northeast Georgia.
