WASHINGTON, D.C. and Miami, Fla. – CallisonRTKL welcomes Roland Binker as associate vice president of the Health Sciences Practice Group, and Kathy LaGro as an associate vice president to the Health Sciences Practice Group as an interior designer.
Binker will be located in the Washington, D.C. studio, and will focus on medical planning and programming to translate client visions and project goals into built
projects. He brings nearly 40 years of experience to the team, including providing services for the University of Virginia Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Medicine, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, University of Maryland Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente. He comes to CRTKL from Perkins+Will, where he was the lead medical planner of their Washington, D.C. office. Binker received his Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
LaGro will be located in the Miami, Florida studio, and will work with clients to plan and design healthcare environments. She brings 35 years of experience in healthcare design to the team. She began her career at Humana, Inc. developing interior design standards for women’s and psychiatric hospitals. LaGro then began Kathy Helm & Associates, Inc., where she developed an extensive healthcare portfolio in for-profit and not-for-profit health systems and physician practices.
