BROOKFIELD, Wis., and BOSTON, Mass. – Hammes Company has recently appointed Michael Solak as the regional vice president out of the firm’s Boston, Massachusetts’ office.
Solak is returning to Hammes Company to assume a leadership role that will capitalize on his depth and breadth of experience within the healthcare industry. He will be the operations lead in New England and will be working closely with the Washington, D.C., office in expanding the company’s footprint in New England. Solak is working with Eastern Maine Medical Center on the completion of its $180-million expansion and renovation in Bangor.
Solak has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare capital facilities development, design and construction management, including leading facilities operations, certificate of need, site selection, financial feasibility, zoning and project implementation.
Before joining Hammes Company, Solak served as senior vice president of Healthcare at Colliers-International. He also served as vice president of facilities for HCA Portsmouth Regional Hospital for nearly 20 years.
