JACKSONVILLE — Clyde “Ted” Moore III, project design principal in the Healthcare Division of The Haskell Company, has earned his Board Certificate in healthcare architecture from the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA). Moore recently passed an accredited examination, which assesses the knowledge and understanding of architects who practice as healthcare specialists. The certification makes Moore one of only 14 architects in Florida and one of 476 in the United States to receive this important architectural credential.

“Our architects at Haskell are some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable in the field of healthcare, and Moore is a perfect example of our team’s commitment to pursuing the highest levels of education and certification in the industry,” said Wayne Burrus, vice president of Haskell’s Healthcare Division. Haskell was recently ranked the No. 2 Healthcare Facility Design/Builder in the U.S. by Modern Healthcare. “Moore has been instrumental in designing some of our firm’s most prestigious healthcare facilities, such as a proton therapy center, St. John Broken Arrow Hospital and Owasso Hospital. These projects require a highly technical level of expertise in programming, planning, designing and Building Information Modeling (BIM).”

ACHA is the organizational voice of the best and brightest healthcare architects and has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects as a specialty credential program. ACHA requires its certificate holders to work toward the improvement of healthcare architecture on behalf of the public, to practice in an ethical manner and to maintain the highest standards in the specialized field of healthcare architecture.

“It is an honor and great accomplishment to earn my certification from ACHA, and I look forward to upholding its commitment to further the field of healthcare architecture,” Moore said.

In addition to his ACHA certification, Moore is a 3ds Max Design 2011 certified professional and a LEED AP B+C. His design expertise includes healthcare design for hospitals, specialty clinics, medical office buildings and diagnostic centers as well as extensive use and knowledge of BIM implementation, design visualization and animation technology. Moore received the Endahl Award for Design Excellence in 2009 and has been honored by the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Moore has been a leading architect at Haskell for more than 12 years. Haskell’s Healthcare Division is a professional services provider offering expertise in design/build, facility development and operation, consulting, problem-solving, Building Information Modeling (BIM), financing and real estate. Haskell’s integrated team of architects, consultants, engineers, designers and construction professionals specialize in the consultation and creation of highly technical, specialized medical facilities and cancer treatment centers as well as traditional healthcare systems such as hospitals, doctor’s offices, rehab facilities and ambulatory care centers.
