Stantec has hired Massoud Safaee as a principal in its Buildings Group’s Information and Communication Technology practice. He brings to the firm more than 23 years of professional experience encompassing all aspects of project delivery, from strategic planning and programming through design and construction. Safaee is working from the Van Nuys, California office.
With a degree in civil engineering from Ferdosi University in Mashhad, Iran, Safaee has spent his career working in the information technology field. In prior posts, he managed the implementation of the first “Digital High School” in the 1990s for Los Angeles University School District, Los Angeles, California; co-founded a veteran-owned small business that established processes to navigate government contracting proposals and managed numerous large healthcare projects like LAC+USC Replacement Medical Center and UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center.
He has been account executive for clients such as University of California Irvine Medical Center, Loma Linda University Medical Center, MultiCare Health System, Marin General Hospital, Highland Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Veteran Administration, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital and Saint Joseph Health System.
Safaee is a member of the Building Industry Consultant Services International. He is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert and is affiliated with Cisco Networking Academy.
