NEW YORK – Skanska USA’s building business unit recently announced it  has formed a strategic partnership with Prime Logic Partners.

The alliance has been created to enhance Skanska’s ability to help leading healthcare organizations implement “Infrastructure as a Service” to optimize investments in IT infrastructure.

Skanska is a leader in healthcare construction with close to $4 billion of work in progress around the U.S. for a variety of facilities including acute care hospitals, specialty outpatient centers and academic medical centers. As a leader in mission critical facilities and data center construction as well, Skanska has built complex technical facilities for clients throughout the country. By combining these two areas of expertise, Skanska offers highly specialized and value-added services to healthcare facilities as they navigate through the requirements of healthcare reform.

Together Skanska and Prime Logic have developed a customized modular data center approach for healthcare providers that incorporates capacity, density and security innovations.

Prime Logic Partners has more than 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure solutions working with leading healthcare providers to deliver solutions that preserve capital and reduce operating expenses.

“Innovation and value are clear necessities to help navigate today’s changing healthcare landscape,” said Skanska Senior Vice President Andrew Quirk, who leads the company’s Healthcare Center of Excellence. “As the industry becomes more complex, we are partnering with our clients to develop solutions that positively impact their overall margins, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices in a measurable way.”

“As healthcare organizations implement Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions, stable and resilient IT infrastructure become mandatory,” said Mark Stewart, partner with Prime Logic Partners. “In addition, we see healthcare regulations taking a similar path as the financial services industry and increasing the levels of security and risk mitigation required by the provider.”
