    Susan R. Silverman Joins CannonDesign as Clinical Healthcare Planner

    Susan R. Silverman, MSN, MBA, joins CannonDesign’s Health Advisory Services group as a vice president and clinical planner based in New York City. A seasoned nurse and hospital administrator, Susan will partner with healthcare clients to develop forward-thinking strategies that support enhanced patient care, operational efficiencies and care model innovation.

    Susan-SilvermanSusan brings more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare, most recently as a senior vice president for JLL and a senior associate with NBBJ. Before transitioning into the world of consulting, she worked for New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she served as administrative director of its Oncology Service Line before becoming director of program planning for the hospital’s Office of Strategy. As a clinician, she practiced at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Boston.

    Among Susan’s responsibilities at CannonDesign will be executing short- and long-range engagements with healthcare clients, including strategic, operational and space planning. Her understanding of the future landscape of health delivery coupled with her hands-on experience working within healthcare systems makes her an integral addition to CannonDesign’s robust healthcare practice .

    Susan has a Master of Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from Baruch College/Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is the president of the Nursing Institute of Healthcare Design, and a treasurer for both the New York Society for Health Planning and CANCER101, an organization that helps people with cancer access education, support and care.
