Dewberry to Assess MEP Systems at Alamance Regional Medical Center
FAIRFAX, Va.— Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, will document and assess the conditions, capacities, compliance and remaining useful life of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, North Carolina. The project is part of an effort to identify and prioritize upgrades and replacements throughout the next 10 years.
Dewberry will investigate air handling units, chilled and hot water systems, normal and emergency power, medical gas and vacuum systems, sprinklers, sanitary sewer systems and fire alarms based on visual inspections, employee and vendor interviews, previous assessments, design and available capacities, capacity per square foot and estimated load. The project team will also review natural gas, oil, water, sewer and electric consumption before comparing them to healthcare facility averages across the state.
The final report will include system status as well as design, construction, architectural, structural and ancillary cost estimates for system replacements or upgrades.
