    LEO A DALY Denver Promotes Mary M. Morissette, AIA, LEED® AP, to Managing Principal

    Mary_MorissetteDENVER — The Denver office of international architecture, planning, engineering, interior design and program management firm LEO A DALY promotes Mary M. Morissette, AIA, LEED ® AP, to the position of managing principal.

    Morissette, who was formerly senior project manager and deputy team operations lead at the firm’s Denver office, will have direct day-to-day responsibilities for all areas of business, quality, and personnel resources. Morissette will assume managing LEO A DALY’s Denver office from Susan Jorgensen, P.E., LEED® AP, who will serve as vice president and senior structural project engineer for the Denver office and also support the firm’s structural engineering team in Omaha on various military projects.

    Morissette has 29 years of experience working with institutional clients with a primary focus in healthcare facilities and has significant experience in judicial and criminal justice facilities. A licensed architect since 1988, Morissette has practiced architecture in Colorado since 1992 and has successfully managed all aspects of a project from business development and contract negotiation through programming, design, construction administration and automaty online occupancy.

    In 2010, Morissette joined the Denver office of LEO A DALY as senior project manager and deputy team operations lead. In this role, she was responsible slot machines online for real money for marketing and business development through design, project management in the federal sector, and the development of deliverable documents and construction administration. As deputy team operations leader, she monitored the quality of all projects in the office with overview responsibility for all professional services

    Morissette attended the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia. She is the immediate past president of the 2,400-member AIA Colorado Board and serves on the Architectural Education Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Morissette also serves as a Mayoral appointee on the City and County of Denver’s Cherry Creek North Design Advisory Board. Her work on the Byron Rogers U.S. Courthouse received multiple awards, including the GSA National Environmental Award, the AIA Denver Honor Design Award, the AIA Denver Committee on the Environment Sustainability Award, and the AGC Golden Hardhat Sustainability Award. Her work on the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse at the Denver Justice Center has also resulted in design recognition.
