OMAHA, Neb. — Mark Tiscornia, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has joined the HDR Phoenix, Arizona office as a healthcare principal.
Specializing in health, Tiscornia has planned, designed and managed projects from small buildings, early on in his career—including medical office buildings and ambulatory care centers—to progressively larger acute care OSHPD replacement hospitals, including the more than $1-billion Stanford University Children’s Hospital expansion, a project he has led for the past five years. In the past, he was also responsible for the planning, design and construction of various large-scale projects for Sutter Health. One of Tiscornia’s industry accomplishments is his work on the California AIA task force where he helped update the AIACC‘s definition of Integrated Project Delivery, which has become an industry standard.
Tiscornia’s sees his strengths as contributing to the evolution in health delivery, helping clients to realize their strategic visions and promoting technology to lead the way into the future. He also anticipates helping to grow new and committed health leaders.
Tiscornia earned his undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Arizona State University.
