Philip_Toussaint_PhotoWARREN, N.J. — PS&S, LLC is significantly expanding its Health Care Design Division to leverage the firm’s expertise and seize upon growing market opportunities. Spearheading the division is Phil Toussaint who has been hired to serve as its director.

Toussaint brings more than 30 years of design and project management experience to this position, including the development of Robert Wood Johnson’s Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital in New Brunswick and the UMDNJ Cancer Center in Newark. This new hire reflects the recent growth experienced by PS&S’s Health Care Design Division and its plans to further grow the practice nationally. Toussaint will lead the Health Care Design and Division and oversee all phases of projects.

“Phil is a nationally recognized leader in this field, and I am confident he will prove instrumental to helping our firm grow this practice nationally,” said Dr. Anthony Sartor, CEO of PS&S. “He brings a vast amount of diverse experience to our firm, and we are thrilled that he is joining our team.”

Formerly with I M Pei and The Hillier Group, for the past 15 years he has focused on the development of state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. Throughout his career he has successfully managed many award-winning projects including replacement hospitals, children’s hospitals, cancer centers and ambulatory care centers. Most recently, he has served as the project manager for the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, a new 636,000-square-foot replacement hospital. He has diverse architectural experience and is involved in client relations, operations and marketing.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for me,” Toussaint said. “PS&S already has a significant track record in the design of healthcare facilities, and I am excited about the opportunity to help grow this division, not just in the Northeast, but nationally.”
