Dr. Eve Edelstein has recently been appointed research fellow in Neuro-Architecture at Perkins+Will.
In her role, Dr. Edelstein will help initiate and report on research studies on behavioral health facilities based upon literature review, site studies and discussions with leadership and staff and at facilities under construction and completed by Perkins+Will. Through this research, Dr. Edelstein will help the firm develop and implement Evidence-Based Design methods, strategies and tools that directly impact the outcomes of the firm’s work.
Dr. Edelstein, M.Arch, Ph.D., EDAC, associate, AIA, F-AAA, is on the faculty at the NewSchool of Architecture and Design and is president of Innovative Design Science. Edelstein’s background includes anthropology (University California Berkeley), architecture (NewSchool of Architecture & Design) and neuroscience (University College London), as well as experience in clinical neurophysiology and research at leading academic medical centers in the United States and Europe.
