Construction has started on a new 60,000-square-foot, two-story medical office building and ambulatory surgery center for Lee Health in Fort Myers, Florida. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027. The project team includes Stevens Construction, Kahler Slater and Johnson Engineering.
Located on the campus of Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and HealthPark Medical Center, the project expands access to pediatric-focused care within one of the region’s primary health care hubs. Designed to support pediatric patients, families and Lee Health staff, the new building will feature a single main entrance allowing easy access for patients and families.
The first floor will house a pediatric surgery center, endoscopy suites and associated support spaces. The 30,000-square-foot second floor will include space for the graduate medical education program, which will include an expansive lobby, exam rooms, treatment rooms and additional patient care spaces, as well as classrooms and collaborative workspaces. Also included is a pediatric specialty clinic with its own dedicated exam and treatment rooms.
