
Jose Prado, AIA, NCARB, has joined Perkins&Will’s North Carolina studio to lead its healthcare practice. With a career dedicated to healthcare design, Prado brings a solutions-oriented leadership style focused on collaboration, clarity and the human experience. Previously with Gresham Smith, he has delivered complex healthcare projects for clients including University of Miami Health System, Baptist Health South Florida, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Jackson Health System.

Brandon Walter, AIA, LEED AP, has been appointed senior medical planner supporting the North Carolina studio. Walter has been with Perkins&Will since 2008 and brings more than 20 years of healthcare planning experience. He has helped shape over 20 million square feet of healthcare environments worldwide, from community clinics to major academic medical centers. In addition, he is known for translating clinical and operational goals into functional, healing-focused design solutions.

Nicole Palmer, RID, NCIDQ, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, IIDA, has joined the North Carolina studio as an interior designer specializing in healthcare environments. Palmer applies Evidence-Based Design principles to create spaces that support clinical outcomes, patient safety and occupant well-being, integrating sustainability and wellness strategies into healthcare interiors. Her expertise includes ambulatory surgery centers, emergency departments and inpatient and outpatient behavioral health facilities.
