Tennessee Oncology’s new Midtown Medical Office Building is a five-story, 311,881-square-foot facility serving as a hub for cancer care in Nashville, Tennessee.

The facility unites medical and radiation oncology services while integrating leading technologies for cancer prevention, early detection and treatment. Patients will also benefit from a full suite of supportive resources, including nutrition counseling, social work and patient navigation services — creating a seamless continuum of care.

The project team included Turner Construction and Gresham Smith.

    Key design features include:

    • Multiple entry points — street, porte cochere valet drop off and garage elevators — designed to reflect urban access. patterns and minimize steps for patients arriving for treatment.
    • Outdoor bench seating allows respite areas outdoors adjacent to landscaping. Future café space planned along with exterior seating for patients, family and staff.
    • Clear, intuitive wayfinding leads visitors to concierge, registration, elevators and clinics directly off the lobby, supported by integrated signage.
    • Clustered infusion bays that support small social support groupings, with private rooms available for those who prefer or require more privacy.
