Haripriya Sathyanarayanan, Ph.D., EDAC, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, associate AIA, has been selected as a 2025 recipient of the Joseph G. Sprague New Investigator Award, presented by The Center for Health Design. The award recognizes emerging researchers whose work is poised to shape the future of healthcare design through evidence-based practice. Two recipients are selected each year through a competitive peer-review process.

Sathyanarayanan is part of Page’s Research & Innovation Group. Working out of the firm’s San Francisco, California office, she is a senior researcher specializing in human-building interaction. Her research explores how thoughtfully designed pediatric healthcare environments can better support the comfort, engagement and well-being of children with complex medical and sensory needs.

With a background that bridges design, health, leveraging neuroscience and user-centered research with technology, Sathyanarayanan’s work advances Page’s commitment to shaping environments that promote well-being, dignity and innovation. She is the first Page researcher to receive this national recognition.
