Registered nurse Emily Karbo has joined ESa as clinical operations/design specialist, bringing a wealth of experience from a distinguished career in critical care and healthcare innovation.

In her recent role at Mayo Clinic, she contributed to the Bold. Forward. Unbound. initiative in Rochester, Minnesota — a $5-billion capital investment project. She worked alongside multidisciplinary teams, integrating clinical expertise into the early design phases of new clinical buildings on the Mayo Clinic campus.

Karbo’s experience in pediatric and neuroscience intensive care units provides her with an understanding of healthcare workflows, patient journeys and care delivery. She is in the final semester of her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Health Innovation and Leadership program from the University of Minnesota.
