Lakeland Regional Health’s new freestanding emergency department has opened. Located in Lakeland, Florida, it is the organization’s first freestanding emergency department and will serve as a convenient location to receive the same expert emergency care as Lakeland Regional Health’s Medical Center emergency department. The project team included Creative Contractors and BSA Life Structures.
The facility provides comprehensive, 24/7 emergency care for patients of all ages. The FSED is equipped with advanced emergency radiology services, including CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds and a full on-site laboratory, ensuring rapid and accurate diagnostics in critical situations.
Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center and its vast network of specialists are just minutes from the freestanding emergency department; if patients need to be admitted to the hospital, they will be transported down the road to the medical center at no cost to the patient.
